Exoticar Model Company Return Policy

Exoticar Model Company, Inc. takes special care in packing your order, but some orders may shift in transit and may cause parts to become loose or fall off. In most cases, parts can be easily snapped or glued onto the model with ease, in other instances we may be able to ship a replacement part to you. In addition, most scratches and small blemishes can be easily removed from a model with automotive wax or by using our Exoticar Model polish. However, some models may be received defective beyond repair, and we will be more than happy to replace the model for you.

As Exoticar Model Company, Inc. has no control over manufacturer imperfections that are common with factory produced models, Exoticar Model Company Inc. may not be held responsible for return shipping costs. We will however, replace any defective merchandise within 30 days and the replacement will be shipped at our cost.

If for some reason you are not happy with your purchase, you may return the item for a credit card refund less a 15% return fee. However, we will waive all return fees on returns processed for merchandise credit ONLY, which can be used on future purchases with Exoticar Model Company, Inc.

Please review our return guidelines:

• All returns must be received within 30 days of purchase.
• All returns must be insured and prepaid by the carrier of your choice.
• All returns must be received in all original packaging with a copy of the invoice along with the completed return form on the back of the invoice; No return authorization is required.
• All defective models may be return for replacement of IDENTICAL model only.
• All other returns processed with a credit card refund, will be subject to a 15% return fee. We will waive all restocking fees on returns processed for merchandise credit ONLY, which can be used towards any order placed with Exoticar Model Company, Inc.
• Shipping charges are non-refundable
• Please refuse any physically damaged boxes from UPS and notify us immediately for replacement

Canadian shipments

All Canadian orders received will be shipped via Air Parcel Post unless otherwise specified by email.

The shipping charge for Air Parcel Post to Canada is based on the weight of the package at the time of shipment and takes approximately 2 weeks for delivery.

The recipient is responsible for all GAT taxes and duties upon receipt of your order. Exoticar Model Company, Inc. has no information nor any control over these charges.

All Other International shipments

Exoticar Model Company, Inc., will ship your order anywhere in the world. All International orders received will be shipped via UPS Express unless otherwise specified by email.

The shipping charge for UPS Express Insured is based on the actual size and weight of the package at the time of shipment and takes approximately one week for delivery.

The initial estimated shipping charge we provide you with at the time of the order is not actual. The shipping is first estimated to the best of our ability based on the approximate size and weight of the order before it has been packed in our warehouse. Once the order has shipped, Exoticar Model Company will either charge or credit your credit card account accordingly based on the actual shipping charge.

The recipient is responsible for all taxes and duties upon receipt of your order. These taxes and duties are based on your countrys tax and Exoticar Model Company, Inc. has no control over these charges.

U.S. & Canadian Shipping Charges

Due to the rising costs from package carriers and model size increases, we are forced to make a change in our shipping rates effective immediately. We have not had an increase in almost 5 years, and we have tried our best to keep our standard service rates as close to our old rates as possible. In order to do this, we will be shipping all orders at our discretion by either UPS, Federal Express or the postal service. We will continue to offer the lowest retail prices on every diecast model.

Shipping rates are subject to change without notice. Orders exceeding $1000 of IN STOCK merchandise ship USP Ground FREE OF CHARGE in continental U.S. only.

Please call for rates on international orders or UPS Second-Third Day Air (Continental US only) rates to Puerto Rico, Hawaii or Alaska.

All orders shipped via priority mail over $50.00 will be insured. A charge of $1.00 per $100 will be added to the base shipping rate.

Large, oversized and some artwork items have a separate shipping cost applied.

Checks & Money Orders

Before sending in a check, please be sure to check availability on the items you are ordering as checks and money orders are automatically deposited upon receipt. A $20 charge will be accessed for any returned checks.

Order Processing Time

All in-stock orders will be processed and shipped within 1 to 3 business days. Please allow 7 to 10 days for delivery for standard shipping and 5 business days for Express shipping. For international and Canadian orders, please allow 2 weeks for delivery. For time sensitive orders, please call our toll free number at 800-348-9159 to place an overnight order.

Backorders

If an item is on backorder or advanced order, you will be notified by e-mail with the expected ship date. You will then have the option to keep the item on backorder to be shipped when the product becomes available, or you may cancel the order at any time. We do NOT charge your credit card until the order is ready to be shipped.

As most models are produced at certain times of the year in Europe or the Orient, some backorders may take many months to be filled. Hand-Built models may need to be special ordered from the manufacturer and can take 4 to 6 weeks for delivery. Advanced orders on future upcoming releases may be delayed by the manufacturer due to any problems they experience with licensing or production.

In most cases, all special order, advanced order, and manufacture backorders will be listed in our on-line store with the expected delivery dates to allow you to backorder the item to guarantee delivery. All orders are shipped in the order they are received. Exoticar Model Company, Inc. has no control over manufacturer delays.
